Director
Mark Stevenson
Mark is one of the UK's leading self-build housing experts, with over 30 years of experience in housebuilding and construction. Formerly Managing Director at Kingspan Engineered Timber Systems (Kingspan PLC), Mark also led Potton - an acclaimed specialist custom and self-build development company, providing architectural, planning, offsite manufacturing and construction services for the consumer market. Potton has been widely recognised as the market leader for the construction of self-build homes. At Potton, Mark led the company’s engagement with a range of volume housebuilders to deliver custom build housing on larger housing sites, including with Crest Nicholson at Tadpole Garden Village. Currently, Mark chairs the National Custom and Self Build Association and serves as Non-Executive Director of Arkwood Developments Ltd, a volume house builder owned by Newark & Sherwood District Council. He was also board member and past chair of the Structural Timber Association Ltd, the trade body representing the interests of the structural timber industry. He regularly contributes as the home-building expert to the Home Building & Renovating Magazine. Throughout his career, Mark has held leadership roles at respected firms like William Davis Ltd., Wildgoose Construction, and Keepmoat PLC, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to advancing the UK’s self-build and custom home sectors.

Mario Wolf
Mario is a highly experienced company director, chartered town planner, and leading expert in self-commissioned housing, with over 33 years of experience across public and private sectors both in the UK and internationally. A former civil servant at the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), Mario played a pivotal role in shaping the UK's self-build and custom housebuilding sector. He was the founding director of the Government sponsored "Right to Build Task Force", and led the introduction of a range of Government housing programmes and planning reforms, spanning almost 20 years. During this time, he was instrumental in working closely with Ministers and industry to introduce a programme of support measures for self-build and custom housebuilding and was closely involved in the preparation of many aspects of planning policy and guidance. Mario also played a central role in the preparation of the Self-build & Custom Housebuilding Act 2015 and associated regulations and led the introduction of the exemption for self-builders under the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations. Most recently he was on the steering group for the Prime Minister-commissioned Bacon Review. He played a key role in the preparation of Section 123 of the Levelling Up and Regeneration Act 2023 and is currently engaging with the MHCLG on the implementation of these provisions and supporting policy and guidance. Before joining Elsworth Projects, he was Director of Planning and Strategic Engagement at Custom Build Homes, overseeing the preparation of planning applications and related consultancy advice for a wide range of clients. With hands-on experience leading planning teams in local authorities and having self-commissioned two of his own family homes, Mario brings deep industry insight and practical expertise to his role at Elsworth Projects.

Kim Moubray
Kim is an urban design and development specialist with over eight year’s experience in the planning and development sector. With a proven track record of managing large-scale, mixed-use regeneration schemes and overseeing budgets in excess of £24 million, Kim provides strategic advice to both public and private sector clients. In her previous role as Senior Development Manager at Custom Build Homes, Kim led the Development Team; designing, planning, and delivering custom and self-build housing projects ranging from 9 to 40 units. Her responsibilities included securing planning permissions, managing budgets, negotiating contracts, conducting land appraisals, and streamlining processes to enhance project efficiency. Known for fostering positive client relationships, Kim promotes a collaborative and high-performing environment. Before joining Custom Build Homes, Kim was a Development Manager at Bath & North East Somerset Council, and played a pivotal role in the Bath Western Riverside Phase II project - a transformative public-private partnership seeking to deliver over 600 housing units on a complex, former gasworks site. Beyond professional roles, Kim is committed to education and previously served as an Associate Governor Advisor to the Board at Bath College on sustainable development. Having studied and worked in multiple countries, Kim brings a global perspective and a deep understanding of diverse cultural and professional environments. This international experience has honed Kim’s ability to build strong, multidisciplinary teams and deliver sustainable, high quality, community-focused developments.
